Love & Hate is an palindrome accordion book about a love/hate relationship with insects. The accordion pages expand, similar to a worm or caterpillar, and the vinyl green cover reflects the colours of a beetle's exoskeleton. Depending on which orientation the book is read, the prose is either about  loving or hating insects.
I love bugs
you cannot convince me
insects are creepy
to be honest
they look very intriguing
I see past the reputation that
they are simply creepy crawlies
I only notice
how strong of a species they are
I don’t believe in
the danger they provoke
instead I notice
there are many ways to appreciate insects
and I do not believe
I hate bugs
I hate bugs

there are many ways to appreciate insects
instead I notice
the danger they provoke
I don’t believe in
how strong of a species they are
I only notice
they are simply creepy crawlies
I see past the reputation that

to be honest
insects are creepy
you cannot convince me
I love bugs
